Derek Hodges died on Saturday, November 12, 2017, from two gunshot wounds, In Lansing Illinois. Visitation will be held on November 24, 2017, and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017. At Living Word Church. He will be buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

He was a kind and loving person. He was an honor student. Star Basketball player of Lansing High in the start of 9th grade before his death. Family was so important to him. He was such a family person. He really loved his little sister Arielle, Derek would do anything for her and she would do anything for him. They had a tight bond and it could not be broken at all they were close …
