Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Derek Gaskins. Born on March 22, 1993, Derek's story came to an untimely end on January 3rd, 2026 from a car accident. He was a treasured son, brother, uncle, father and friend, whose absence will leave an immeasurable void. Derek is survived by his loving mother, Marie Hooks, his ever-present brother, Timmy Gaskins, his caring sister, Brandi Cassioli, and his cherished family member Tony …

We plan on having a service in August at the cemetery outside of grifton the service will be private so only certain people will be allowed to attend after we will have for family only, a cremation time we will inform everybody on when the service is date and time thank you for everybody for your love and compassion.
