It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deontae Jones. Born on April 28, 1998, Deontae's vibrant and meaningful life was tragically cut short on January 6th, 2023. He was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him. Deontae was best described as a man full of life; he was loving, caring, sweet and ambitious.

One of Deontae's most cherished philosophies was to live life to the fullest, a mantra he not only lived by but also encouraged others to adopt. His spirit and zest for life radiated in his interactions, inspiring everyone around him to seize the day and embrace every moment.

Deontae was an individual who believed in continuous growth and personal development. This was evident from his achievement of earning many certifications. He demonstrated his ambitious nature and commitment to knowledge by deciding to further his education. We have no doubt that he would have continued to excel and achieve great things if granted more time.

Deontae leaves behind a legacy of kindness. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart full of love and compassion. He was able to construct a life where he gave more than he received, spreading his kindness wherever he went. This legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those he touched.

The loss of Deontae is profoundly felt by all who knew him, but most notably by his beloved family. As we mourn the loss of our beloved son, we also celebrate his life, his accomplishments, and his indomitable spirit. His absence will be deeply felt, and his memory cherished forever.

Our hearts go out to all who loved Deontae. May we all find comfort in the beautiful memories he gave us and the extraordinary life he led. The world has lost a beautiful soul, but heaven has gained an angel. Rest in peace, Deontae.
