It was Chano and Vimla’s wedding, Chacha Deodat walk right pass Adesh, he did to recognize him for he had not seen him since he left Guyana for Ireland. So Chacha Deodat got a good rubbing for not recognizing his nephew, but he paid up big time with several bottles of Jonny Waker Black whiskey. Adesh can attest to that.

Deepest sympathy to all the Singh family. Deodat was a kind and lovely person, last saw him in Grenada. Peace.

I feel truly saddened that you are no more with us. A thousand words won't bring you back, we know because we have tried; neither will a thousand tears, we know because we cried. Treasured in our hearts, you'll stay until we meet someday again. Heaven has gained another Singh angel. Sleep in eternal peace Chaccha. We love you. Indar, Bhougie, Jeno, Kay and Wayne.

This most kind and gentle soul, Chacha to us and Aja Deo to our children, will be dearly missed. Although our families knew each other in Guyana and I was familiar with stories of the whole gang at Enmore from my dad, I met him just before Chano and I got married. The comfort and love was instant, and I am honored to have had him in our lives. My favorite line from him, whenever he came over for dinner, "My compliments to the chef," said with that beautiful smile of his.
He was dedicated to his family, and with Chache Dolly, raised three extraordinary children. To have made it to this age given all of his health issues, is testimony of the care and love he was given by them and all who surround them. He was proud of them all, and especially his two granddaughters.
Safe journey, Chacha Deodat.
