Background
Dennis, a former park ranger, loved to visit and explore our National Parks. After graduating from the University of Montana in Missoula in 1977 with a degree in Forestry and Outdoor Recreation, Dennis started his parks service in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montanna. It was there that he spent several months living in a tent while conducting a recreational survey for the Bureau of Land Management. In 1978 he completed a program at the police academy and became a Park Ranger for the Utah State Park Service. Over the next four years, he worked at Dead Horse Point State Park, Goblin Valley State Park, and Yuba Dam State Recreation Center, where he collected many fantastic tales of wild animal encounters and low-speed chases to eventually wow and delight his children and grandchildren.
Dennis's love for National Parks was not dulled by his subsequent work as a Computer Programmer. It would mean so much to his surviving family to know that we might help maintain these parks in his name. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Park Foundation in his memory.
