My condolences go out to his family.   A great man is gone but will never be forgotten.  Sleep well, MY BROTHER!
My sincere condolences to Dennis’ family, and to a man that lived an amazing life, a life worth living.
My profound condolences to Cathy, the Serrette family and to the comrades of my beloved union brother.  Dennis was a "salt of the earth" type of union leader that was a mentor to me and personified "solidarity forever." He was also prone to a good joke or two every time I saw him!  His militancy and profound insight into the labor movement  was extraordinary.  Dennis Serrette PRESENTE!
Dennis was a wonderful man.  I feel so fortunate that I was able to get to know him when he came to CWA Headquarters.  He made a difference in so many lives and his shining personality will live on in our hearts.
My deepest condolences to the Serrette family.  Dennis was a colleague, brother, mentor and sparring partner over the many years we worked together in the struggle .  He was a warrior for the working class and especially the marginalized among us.  So many owe him so much.  Rest in power, my brother.

Our community lost a great one with his passing.  I have seldom meet a person who conveyed such joy.  When you meet with Dennis you were immediately enveloped by his warmth and humanity.  A great laugh and smile.

Condolences to his loved ones but take comfort in the exemplary life he lead.

Dennis was a blessing to this country and the labor movement. Sending sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Such an amazing person to work for.  He always had a joke to tell.  He would always share how he ran for President of the United States, yup true story.  This is a great loss.

Serrette Family,

What a lasting legacy and an immense impact your father had on this world, Kyle.  May his memory be for a blessing.  In Solidarity, Ruth Steinmetz

Dear Serrette Family,

Condolences for Dennis's passing . May our memories of his efforts to create a world based on justice, equality and fairness, fortify us as we continue his work.

May we find ease in our grief, recalling the many gifts of love and solidarity Dennis  left behind for us. May he rest in peace and may his family and friends find moments of joy and inspiration knowing how fortunate we are to have shared our lives with this remarkable man.

In peace and solidarity,

Andy Banks

Dear Cathy and Serrette Family,

You have my deepest condolences.  Dennis’s obituary is a fitting tribute to a life well lived.  He  sowed the seed of service, watered the seed  by leading by example, and those  he inspired  to dedicate their life  to his passion are the fruits of his labor.  May you take comfort in knowing  that his time on our earth made it a better place for all. Truly, he rests in power.

Love and condolences to all Dennis's family and community. His kindness and wisdom and transcendent charisma cast a glow. He was always a step ahead in playful, knowing conversation and it was an honor to try to keep up. From dancing with Dennis at May and Kyle's wedding to witnessing him find ways to connect with toddler Omar at the Water House even when his words were by then few ("whoah!"), it has been a joy to be part of his family. Blessings on his flight xox
A colleague, a comrade, a good friend.

I was at an early meeting of Labor Against the War with Dennis. We rode the train together. What an amazing life. My thoughts are with his family, friends and allies.

He left an indelible mark on the labor movement, and on the lives of untold thousands of workers and their families.

Rest in power! You have passed the torch and the next generations will carry on the struggle.
