Dennis's obituary

Dennis Ray Murphy, (also known as Bubba) 61, went to his heavenly home on July 30th, 2020 after a long battle with Diabetes and Kidney failure. His devotion to his family and his faith in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Dennis was born to John and Faye Murphy, in St Louis, Missouri on August 29th 1958. He was the oldest of three siblings. Dennis has a Sister Vicki and a brother Mike. He lived in the St Louis area until 1977, when at the age of 19 he and his family moved to Boise, Idaho.
Dennis was blessed with a loving family. He married the love of his life and best friend Deborah Kay Staats, on July 19th, 1980 in Boise ,Idaho. After two years of not being able to have children, Dennis and Debbie were prayed over by their pastor and church family and soon after came the news that they were going to have a child! On September 7th, 1983, Aaron James Murphy was born!
Dennis loved God, his family and fishing. His wife Debbie, his son Aaron, his adopted daughter Jeni, his daughter-in-law Marie and his four grandchildren Abby,Caleb,Micah and Issac were his world. Dennis believed in the saving power of God’s Word. It was his life passion to share the gospel with as many people as he could. He loved teaching bible studies. Since he never met a stranger it was not long before he would start a conversation with anyone and everyone around about living for Jesus. His passion for winning souls led him and his family to many places. Such as, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana and Colorado to help churches. While living in Columbus, Indiana, God used him to witness to Jeni. Jeni soon became Dennis and Debbie’s adopted daughter and Aaron’s Sister. He considered Jeni his daughter for the rest of his life. He and his wife, Deborah Murphy, attended Boise Worship Center the last five years where his son Aaron Murphy pastors. He also enjoyed fishing. Many Memories were made with his son and grandchildren while on fishing trips.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son, Aaron; his daughter, Jeni Elkins; his grandchildren Abby, Caleb, Micah, and Issac; his Dad, John Murphy; His Sister, Vicki Cate; his brother, Mike Murphy. Dennis is preceded in death by his mom, Faye Murphy; his Grandpa and Granny Settles; his, Grandpa and Grandma Murphy.
Dennis’s Celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m on Thursday, August 6th ;at Calvary Temple, 200 S Sixth Ave Caldwell, Idaho 83605. All family and friends are invited.
