Background
Dennis was transported via medical ambulance to the Peoria OSF St Francis Medical Center Neurology ICU late on June 23, 2025. I drove down the next morning with no place to stay and no idea how long he would be hospitalized.
OSF staff told me about Family House with home-like guest rooms, gracious community spaces, and kitchens and dining rooms to prepare my meals. Upon check-in, I was assured of a serene and supportive respite for as long as I needed it, 24/7, and at no charge due to the generosity of OSF St Francis and Family House.
Free from the worry of staying alone, far from home, I could focus on Dennis during that difficult time.
Donations will bolster the ongoing mission of Family House. I witnessed first hand the caring support felt by so many different families as we all shuttled back and forth from Family House to several hospitals in the area.
Our family requests that those who are interested in honoring Dennis consider making a donation in his name to Family House. Family House helped me immeasurably and we would like to help Family House in return.
