In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to Halifax Health - Hospice or Amyloidosis Research Consortium.

Background

Dennis passed away due to heart failure after being diagnosed with Wild-type ATTR Amyloidosis (ATTRwt). Amyloidosis is a rare disease that occurs when a protein called amyloid builds up in organs.

Treatment Dennis received that assisted in extending his life was a result of the hard work of the health professionals of Advent Health and the research of Amyloidosis Research Consortium.

The Amyloidosis Research Consortium (ARC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to driving advances in the awareness, science, and treatment of amyloid diseases.

In addition, Dennis and family have had great experience with Halifax Health - Hospice providing end-of-life care and support focused on the physical well-being of their patients, but also their emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

Donations to Amyloidosis Research Consortium or Halifax Health Hospice are greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers, so that others may benefit from their continued expertise and care.

Thank you to everyone who have supported our family through this journey.
