There are friends who mark and illuminate one’s life in such a way, that changes it forever. Dennis was one of those special, unique souls. We stayed in touch after I moved out of DC, with encouraging and usually hilarious text messages, he never forgot a Christmas card (even though we always did), and I was already planning (hoping) to see him again this spring or summer. Now I will forever regret not making that visit happen sooner. I will keep your energy, enormous talent, your child-like smile, and impeccable humor with me forever, and I hope your are skiing amazing slopes wherever you are now.
