Dennis Allen Guimond, 66 of Springfield MO unexpectedly passed away April 4th, 2020 with his children at his side.
Dennis was born in Spring Valley, IL on July 16th, 1953. Upon graduating from Washington Community High School, he joined the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged on June 14th, 1973.
The GI Bill allowed him to earn his college diploma from Illinois State University. Denny was a loving, caring, funny, inspirational, and stubborn man. He will be watching over his beloved children: Jacqueline & Mark Massey and Jaimee' Nicole Guimond. His siblings: Don Guimond, Garry Guimond, and Mari Ann Benson. His nephews and nieces: Matt, Danny, Jessica, Laura, Skylar and Maro. But especially his grandchildren Laken & River Massey, the lights of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Vicke Guimond.
Dennis will be given all honors due to a veteran at Springfield National Cemetery as soon as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
