Dennis's obituary
Dennis Lucien Bernier, 69, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Born on August 10, 1955, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Dennis lived a life marked by quiet strength, humor, and deep devotion to those he held dear.
Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army for approximately three years as a tank track mechanic. During his service, he spent a year abroad, contributing his skills and dedication to his unit. His time in the military reflected his sense of duty and willingness to support others through hard work and perseverance.
At home, Dennis was known for his unique blend of being both reserved and outgoing—a man who could be witty and goofy one moment and quietly reflective the next. He had a deep love for music and often found joy in singing or simply listening to the radio. His weekends were filled with simple pleasures: making the best poached egg sandwiches paired with chocolate milk for breakfast, pepperoni pizzas for dinner, spending time with friends and family, or heading up north for a peaceful getaway in the summers.
Dennis had a fondness for animals—especially birds—and though he might not have always admitted it aloud, he had a soft spot for dogs. He enjoyed bowling and attending baseball games, activities that brought him closer to those around him while allowing him to unwind in good company.
Family was at the heart of Dennis’s world. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Diane Couturier, Carmel Boucher, Julie Boilard, June Williamson, and his late sister Jean Cummings; his brothers George Bernier, David Bernier, and Ronald Bernier; his granddaughter Victoria Duenas; and his goddaughter Amanda Bernier. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish their memories of him.
Dennis was predeceased by his beloved daughter Jessica Bernier. The memories remain close to his heart throughout the last years of his life.
Those who knew Dennis will remember him as someone who would do anything to ensure the well-being of those he loved. His legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the meals he made with care, and the unwavering support he offered without hesitation.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
