We remember Denise often, her positivity and kindness linger.

Waking up on Cinco de Mayo to Coronas, &  limes on my porch.  A special note to brighten my day on any other day.  The   Invites to  extraordinary afternoons.  Shared stories with the back stories only Denise could tell with such enthusiasm as to have you believing you were there!  Discoveries of being at the same place at the same time, knowing the same people yet life hadn’t crossed our path’s. The love of baking and her special butter to make the brownies so perfect. Dominos, laughter, sailing, sandbars, the SoMo Pool, and the Key West harbor where her Stars and Stripes set sail.

But most of all, becoming a wonderful neighbor, sharing Amber her beautiful golden cat with golden eyes with me and now her love Rocky the wonder Bombay cat with those eyes that melt you.  Life is meant to be lived fully.  She supported this.  A beautiful life is about sharing and caring, living and loving, positivity and no negativity, dancing in the rain and sleeping under the stars.

I Miss you Denise, your smile and your throw care to the wind, the rise above those who don’t understand us.

Happy birthday in the spirit world … heaven above earth.

I know you are free and I still see you in sunsets. ♥️

I am deeply saddened by her passing...a gal with tremendous energy whom I met in the 1980 s in Michigan.

She made a great contribution to Key West and marine mammal rescue

Sail on gal...

Tom and Debbie Thank you so much for your kind thoughts!

Greetings Family, Friends, and Fellow Travelers of Denise Jackson,

Like her mom, Denise was a traveler who enjoyed the sights found on land and at sea. She often instilled much love, fun, and laughter wherever she landed. A knowledgeable soul with a love of the sea and the animals it in-habited. She never met a dolphin or a pilot whale she would not stop to help in its time of need.

Her love of the sea, sailing, and adventure led her to a life well lived in the Florida Keys. She found her forever after in Key West and the surrounding areas and waters, where she shared many experiences as a charter boat

Captain/First Mate, and Galley Girl. She became a partner with Tom and Don on the Stars and Stripes Catamaran business. Her knowledge of Key West and its waters led to her becoming a scout for filmmakers and crews. She was also quite celebrated by friends for her catering business, Rose Catering, where she was known to prepare dishes for many a Key West wedding and event.

Denise put her heart and soul in all she did. She was known in the community as a force to be reckoned with, never faulting to defend and love vehemently if you were in her circle of family and friends.

In closing, Tom and I would like for you to know how loyal Denise was to those she loved and kept close to her heart. This can be seen through her steadfast love for her Mom, Dave, Pete, and Chris. Lucky are those her got to truly

know her, and allow her light to shine upon them.

With caring hearts,

Tom and Debbi Jackson

One of many good times we had…

One of many good times we had together! I'll miss you, my friend. — with Denise Wholihan and Diane Hamlin
I just learned of Denise's passing and it breaks my heart, she was definitely a force of nature and one of a kind, Godspeed my friend
After so recently marking the death of mother, Jean Wholihan, I am saddened by Denise's death. I recall her most during my pastorate at Queen ofHope Parish in NW Detroit. Denise was an energetic, cheerful entering her teen years. She brought joy wherever she was. May she rest in the eternal joy God has in store for all of us.
She truly was a force in whatever she chose to do.   You will be missed Denise.

Fare winds my friend…….  Thanks for the memories…..

My deepest condolences

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I had the fortune of getting to know her through her marine mammal rescue efforts. I was a long time volunteer with Wildlife Rescue of the Florida Keys, so I saw her often. Very sad loss. My condolences to her loved ones.
