To all of the family at DBJ, we have followed Denise's journey and continually prayed for her and all of you along the way. This was your journey as well. Our hearts hurt for all of you and we will continue to pray for healing for each of you from Don Sr all the way down to the grandchildren. She will be missed in a huge way. That smile and those bright eyes, coming out to our side of the counter to give and get a hug. The call or the text I would receive the day after my anniversary or that special occasion to be sure that what she helped pick out or sometimes help design was just perfect. There is only one thing that will help to fill the void that will be there. That would be all of the incredible memories that she played a huge part in for so many of us and our families. Thankful that we could be part of those memories. She is in the comforting hand of a God that she loved, that she professed openly, and shared with so many. It hurts like hell! But today our friend Denise is in the hands of His Amazing Grace.

On behalf of the Meek family (David, Tamara, Samantha, Nicholas, and myself), we send our deepest condolences! I have very fond memories of Mrs. Basch throughout the years of SBS, Walsh football games, and throughout my teenage years with Dayna! Prayers and love are being sent to you all during this absolute tragic and difficult time!

Denise was probably THE most generous and kind hearted people I've been blessed to meet. Not going to lie, her demeanor and expectation for respect intimidated me. Why? I have no idea! She expected respected because she deserved it! Not because she thought she thought she was better than anyone, but because she knew her worth. I was truly lucky to be in the presence of woman who knew what she wanted, surrounded herself with people who supported her, and didn't accept anything less. These traits were intimidating to a young girl, but admirable for a woman who is lucky to have had Denise be a part of her journey.

I only had the pleasure to be close to her for a short few months, but I think of her often. I think of her interview question of, "What do you think about when you come to a red light when you're driving?" I thought it was a strange question, but loved how casual her final question of the interview was (especially after how intense the rest of the interview was). Speaking to her later, I understand why she asked that question, and even have adopted it in my interview questioning.

Little things like that don't seem like a big deal to most. I'm sure most people blow it off and never think of it again. That was a huge point in my timeliness! I will never forget it! She was truly brilliant!

My condolences are with the family! I can't imagine what you're going through! My prayers, thoughts, and love will be with every single one of you!
I don't remember the year but Dustin or Dayna had to have been in Junior High at St. Barnabas, I was running the Junior High dances, so I was at every dance, Denise was at one of those dances ( most likely as a chaperone) . The DJ played a song ( I have no idea what the title was) and Denise came up to me and said, " Let's do The Dog !" To which I responded "the what?" She grabbed my arm and walked me to a back corner where she insisted (remember, Denise never took "No" for an answer!) that she teach me the dance called, The Dog . So, there the 2 of us were, on our knees doing the DOG ! Too, too FUNNY!!!!! I have LOVED Denise from the moment I met her, and will always LOVE her. I KNOW that Denise and her Dad are in Heaven. . . doing the DOG !!!!! and if anyone up there didn't know how to do the DOG . . . well they do now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROCK on Denise!!!!!
Dear Donny and Family,

Sharing our deepest sympathy with you during this difficult and sorrowful time. In days to come, may cherished memories of your beautiful mother, held forever in your hearts, offer peace and solace. Her love and light will live on through each of you...she'll walk beside you everyday...Sincerely, Bob and Linda
My heart sincerely aches for your loss. May God draw near to each of you as you mourn her passing. She was a dear and exuberant woman, with a love for family that was apparent to even a casual acquaintance. It was my privilege to have known her, and to work with her. Thank you for that opportunity! God’s peace to you all, now and in the days to come. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏💝 Diane Ricci
We are so sorry for your loss. She truly was a Bright Star!
