Denice's obituary
Denice Lynn Still, at the age of 56, residing in Castle Rock, WA passed away surrounded by her family on April 12th,2023 after a hard battle of lung disease.
Denice was born on August 10th, 1966 to Donald and Janice Nelson in Portland, Oregon. Denice is the youngest of four children. Two sisters, Debbie and DeeAnn, and brother, Donny. She attended John Marshall High School in Portland, OR and studied a few different career paths including beauty school but always found her true calling in her family and horses.
Denice married her husband, Dennis Still on February 25th, 1995 in Garibaldi, OR. Shortly after, they settled into their first home in Ridgefield, WA and began their loving journey of raising a beautiful family. Denice had the ability to bake just about anything from scratch, as one of her favorite things to do was to host family gatherings. While Denice loved taking care of her family, she had the power to mother or nurture anyone or anything that crossed her path. This innate ability and passion came through in spoiling her dogs and finding homes for rescue dogs she could not bring home to nurture herself. Her love and energy also came through in anything outdoors such as camping, trail riding her horses.
Denice raised a beautiful family of three children, Colby, Samantha, and Trevor. Denice was very proud of her three children and even more so of her growing group of grandchildren. Colby Lutz married Haley in June 2017 and they now have two beautiful children, Tinley and Kleyton. Samantha Bishop who shared her love and passion of horses married her husband, Travis in May 2017 and have a sweet little boy named Braden and another baby boy due this August. Trevor Still, her youngest, resides close to home in Castle Rock and is due to marry his high school sweetheart, Katelyn this coming July.
Denice’s PRIVATE memorial service for those invited directly will be held at Hubbards funeral home inside the chapel in Castle Rock, WA at 12pm. After her service at 2:30 there will be a public service of life held at White Meadows (302 waters rd Castle Rock, WA 99611).
Denice will be desperately missed by all those that she left behind and our hearts are broken from her unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was truly a blessing.
