Denelda's obituary
Denelda Ann Coppock, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on March 18, 1944, and passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, at the age of 82.
Denelda was the daughter of the late Floyd and Hazel Virden. She was a woman of strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to caring for others, offering warmth, wisdom, and support to all who knew her. Her presence brought comfort, and she will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Coppock Sr.; her son, Clifton Coppock Jr.; her brother, Floyd Virden; and her sisters, Caroline Bodine, Linda Marvel, Beatrice Miller, and Alice Coppock.
Denelda is survived by her son, Kevin Coppock; her sister, Norma Jean Sweeney; and her cherished grandchildren, Dannette Chase, Nicole Ewing, Keith Coppock, and Joseph Coppock.
Denelda found her greatest joy in her family, especially in the time she spent with her grandchildren. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain in their hearts forever.
Denelda’s legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral services will be held on May 16th at Torbert’s Funeral Home Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover, DE 19901. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
