Delores was born to Booker T. Austin & Rebecca Wilson on 09-08-1950 in Mt. Vernon NY. A member of the church from a very young age, Delores participated in the National YAYA Auxillary at Greater Highway Deliverance COGIC alongside her family members. After moving to Florence, SC, Delores attended Francis Marion University. While in school, Delores realized her passion for music and felt a call to move towards ministry full-time. She attended the Tiger Production Organization and developed her vocal skills.

After graduation, Delores went on to be a Nurse Practitioner. She was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others and was an integral part of the start-up of Eastern Star Apostolic COGIC. A loyal servant to God, Delores spent many of her hours dedicating her life to submitting to the voice of God.
Now that Delores has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Delores’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her. Delores joins her parents Booker T. Austin & Rebecca Wilson, her brother Johnnie Wilson, Sisters Virginia Davis, and  Evelyn Austin in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including her special son Jimmie L Austin (who was her sole caretaker for the last 6 years), Brothers Thomas (Patricia) Austin, Kelvin (Shanice) Austin, Sister Vivian (Dale) Austin-Brown, a host of nieces and nephews and Godchildren.
