MCELWEE, DELBERT GENE, 59, Northern Cambria formerly of Deer Park, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 20, 2025. Born July 12, 1965, In Wichita, Kansas, the son of Oren L. McElwee and Twyla L. McElwee. Preceded in death by loving wife, Paula Fleming who passed away in 2023. He is survived by brother, Steve McElwee, Texas. Del grew up in Deer Park, Texas where he developed his love for BBQ and watching his favorite teams, Houston Astros and Houston Texans. He lived out the rest of his years in the countryside of Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Del was a loyal husband and friend to all. He had a deep faith in God and loved his church, friends and family, Paula’s family and his four cats. Del had a very generous heart, loved to joke and laugh. He didn’t care about material possessions and would give you the shirt off his back, then turn around and sass you with a southern accent. No services are planned.
