It was a pleasure knowing you my friend. I am sad I missed a chance to see you again. Heartfelt condolences to your family.
Extremely shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Deepak is no more. We worked together and later seldom met at conferences. A gentleman, always smiling. Prayers for strength to his family.

A true leader, mentor and well wisher. No matter how much busy he was ,he used to lend his ears to hear the problems, give advice and guide well. Thanks Deepak !!

Although I did not spend a lot of time with Deepak, he was very close to us as he was catalyst in our marriage. Me and my Wife met because of Deepak-Grishmi! We had great times when we were in Texas and went on one of the best Trips to New Mexico where I got to know him more.
I just admired him for his overall persona - Great Attitude, Always smiling, Intelligent arguments, Maturity to handle any situation, Ocean of Knowledge to share and going out of the way to help. Work for him was next to Godliness and he worked tirelessly with full of energy. Success never carried him away! With such a busy schedule too, he made sure Family was his number one priority and gave all the love and time to raise such a beautiful child - Anura.
I was hesitant to write until today as I never believed in this news and deeply saddened by his physical departure from this world. But the Soul never departs! Body is just a physical manifestation to express the feelings. So Deepak, I know you are here and you will always be their with Grishmi and Anura. Your dreams will be realized manifold by both of them.
I will always miss you and feel the void...……

Deepak and I were together in NSO Swimming. Back in 1990, Ajay Devgan's debut movie "Phool aur Kaante" had released. It had a song "Tumse milne ko dil kartaa hai... re baba, tumse milne ko dil kartaa hai". Whenever Deepak used to turn up at the pool, we would welcome him with "Tumse milne ko dil kartaa hai... Ghodke baba, tumse milne ko dil kartaa hai". I didn't meet Deepak after graduation until the SJRU but for all those intervening years, each time the song played in my head it was the "Ghodke baba" version. I resolved to tell him this upon meeting him next, and actually got to serenade him at the SJRU last month together with Inya, while falling all over him. Embarassed him no end! 🤣🤣
I met Deepak for the first time last week and its so hard to fathom that our short meeting for a couple of hours would be our first and last meeting.

RIP Deepak Ghodke
Deepak was an extraordinary man! I cherish my time with him professionally and personally. We found ourselves in similar circumstances for several years (adjusting to a new places and roles) and that afforded me additional opportunities to spend time learning from him and being advised by him on life circumstances. I was always struck with his deep care and concern for myself and others. He would always make time to talk and the conversations were heart-felt.
Most of our non-work related conversations centered on family. He loved Grishmi and Anura and his eyes would light up when sharing about their latest accomplishments and activities. His heart was big and so was his smile. Jessica, my kids and I, we will all miss you Deepak!
I was  fortunate enough to know Deepak first as a colleague and then as a friend for almost two decades. When I first interviewed him at Hyperion, my very first thought was that we absolutely needed someone of his caliber as part of the team and that I would enjoy working with him. He was brilliant, a thinker who got things done and someone who was constantly looking to make everyone around him better. And he did with a smile on his face and his warm personality made a fan of everyone who worked with him. We stayed in touch past our Hyperion days and met almost every month after he and his family moved to Cupertino. We went for a long walk by Calabasas Creek a few weeks ago and he had a volley of questions that usually went "Accha, tell me....." followed by a very thoughtful discussion.  He was immensely proud of his family and my heart goes out to them. Those of us lucky enough to know him have a void in our lives that won’t be filled.  Farewell, my friend.
Touching to see all the messages here. They are a tribute to Deepak and his family. I knew him less than most here but even so his warm and ever smiling personality will stay with me. His ffriends and family are indeed blessed.

"Say not in grief he is no more - but live in thankfulness that he was". This Hebrew saying is apt for Deepak.

I met him only the second time in 25 years at our Reunion last month. The re-connect was so immediate and warm it was as if we were in touch every day of the last 25 years. We reminisced our hostel life, the fun we had and the pranks we played.

I am thankful to have known Deepak. I never recollect him having a tense moment. Always jovial he had a sweet, welcoming smile.

My deepest condolences to Grishmi and Aruna. Wishing them all the inner strength they need to gather at this unforseen moment. Deepak has left a lasting impression on all of us. Celebrating his life is the best way to serve his memory.
