Declan was one-of-a-kind!  Here he is keeping in shape with Brenden Akin while at lunch in 2019 at Skyline High School. 

Declan and his Dad were the biggest supporters of Skyline's pom team. So much part of the team they even came to CA when we had nationals and dressed to the nines for team dinner.

My condolences to Declan's family and his fiancee Kora. I only knew Declan during the 2021 football season when I  had the opportunity to work with him while coaching. I found him to be a hard worker and a gentle giant. He was funny and gracious. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

Watching Declan grow up from across the street was an honor. We are heartbroken by this news. We love you all and are sending all the love we can to you at this truly unfair and unbelievably sad time.  Sean and Doreen

I'm so sorry to hear about Declans passing. I still can't believe it. I can't imagine how the family feels about losing such a precious person so young. Declan started deer hunting with us a few years ago. We met him through the Tokach family. We immediately felt he was a fine young man and was going to go places. He was always willing to help and always so polite.  I last saw Declan in the third weekend of November. We were in deer camp. We found out he got engaged not too long before that. He came up to us and said that he was leaving deer camp a day early so that he could meet Kora to book the venue for the wedding. We totally understood. We told him before you leave, lets go get lunch at Doc's in Askov. He loved the bloody Mary's that they made there. He had just one because he was going to drive home. I was always kidding with him since he was such a big boy. I told him it was a good thing I liked him because if I didn't I might have to knock him off his barstool. I stand 5'8. He laughed and said " I'd knock you and everybody in here off their barstools". We laughed like heck. We gave him a hug and said we will see you in the spring when we planned to go up and cut wood. Declan was an outstanding young man and we are all going to miss him. I'm wishing all of the family and friends my deepest condolences. We all lost a good man there.
