Debra's obituary
Debra 'Debbie' Larkin passed away at Etobicoke General Hospital on May 11, 2023, at 4:40am, at the age of 69, after surgery and the finding of Bowel Cancer that metasticized to her liver. She fought as best as she could but was just too weak to recover.
Debbie is survived by her daughter Cheryl Larkin, son in law Dan Misztal and two grand daughters Isabelle and Angel Misztal.
Debbie was born in Toronto and grew up in Rexdale. She raised Cheryl on Tandridge for 30 years. Debbie was very well known on Tandridge and most remember her well. She was a quiet woman and kept to herself but loved to know everything that was going on.
Debbie loved her morning paper and listening to old 80s rock bands like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard and spent many hours sitting on the balcony with the radio blaring Bon Jovi and watching the world go by.
In later years Deb loved her word search puzzles, drinking tea or Pepsi and watching her game shows on TV. She loved Dreamcatchers and had them on her wall, keychain and even hanging from her bed. She was always a lover of the Harlequin romance novels and has been known to read up to 3 in one day. She loved her trips to the zoo with Cheryl and loved having all her kitties over the years, the newest being Lily for the past 14 years.
Debbie was the oldest of 3 kids. Brian being the youngest and only one around now.
She lived a decent life and even having a brain injury for the past 20 years, she was still pretty spry. We will miss her telling us to F off. Lol.
If you have any memories of Debbie feel free to share them with us all.
A celebration of life is being planned and should occur sometime in the next couple months. We will let everyone know once we have dates confirmed.
