In Loving Memory of Debra (Debbie) Kemp (August 30, 1955 – November 13, 2023)

Debra Kemp, born on August 30, 1955, to George Theodore Green and Lola Virginia Nelson in Fort Eustis, VA, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Monday, November 13, 2023. Her departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Debbie’s life was a journey marked by love, resilience, and the sharpest wit. She embraced the good things in life with joy and enthusiasm and the challenges with a strength that inspired all who were fortunate enough to witness her journey. Her spirit shone brightly even in the face of adversity, as she battled and triumphed over cancer multiple times, a testament to her indomitable will.

Debbie is survived by her brother John Green (Pamela Yazman), her three loving sons, Jeremy Henrichsen (Catherine Henrichsen), Avery Henrichsen, Brian Henrichsen, and her cherished grandson, Tayven Henrichsen. Her roles as a sister, mother and grandmother were ones she embraced with joy, dedication and honesty, leaving an enduring impact on the lives of her family.

Known for her authentic, sincere, and loving personality, Debbie was a force of nature. She approached life with an open heart, appreciated the beauty in everything around her and always strived to demonstrate what pure tenacity and sheer will can do. Her kindness, sincerity, and unwavering support touched the lives of those around her, creating a legacy that will be cherished.

As we mourn Debbie’s unexpected departure, let us also celebrate the remarkable woman she was. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on January 13th, 2024.
