After a difficult battle from the complications from a stroke, Debra "Debbie" Rucks passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Urbana, IL to Lonnie and Emma Rucks, Debra was described as a hand full to some and the life of the party to others. Debra was passionate about reading from a very young age and read countless number of books over the years. Her true passion was cooking she developed a love for cooking often duplicating the meals she learned from her mother Emma Rucks. Debra had four children she was a fiercely strong, independent mother, raising four equally strong independent children. She was a big supporter of her children and was the perfect grandmother to her six grandchildren and her only great grandson. Debra was very proud of her children and spoke highly of all of her children to anyone who would listen.

Debra was predeceased in death by both parents, and two brothers. She leaves behind her four children Jarrad Davenport (Latoya), Justin McMullen, Shayla Daaja (Monty), Jarin Miles (Kate). (8) Grandchildren, (1) Great Grandson. Her brothers Lonnie Rucks Jr (Clemmie), Steven Rucks, Gary Rucks (Jackie), Allison Rucks and countless number of niece's and nephews.
