Debra's obituary
Debra James, formerly of Emmaus, PA, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026 at the age of 78.
Debra James was a devoted mother, daughter, wife, and grandmother whose actions and kindness touched all who knew her. She was the loving wife of Harry James for 36 years, with whom she shared a life rooted in love, partnership, and countless shared memories. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and support.
As a mother of two, Debra took great pride in her children and the lives they created. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren. Whether listening to their stories, doing arts & crafts together, or going on adventures, Debra’s love for her family was constant and unmistakable.
Debra enjoyed a rich social life and valued time spent with friends, always offering a listening ear and a welcoming smile. An avid reader and passionate gardener, she found peace among books and beauty in tending to her garden.
Above all, Debra will be remembered for her caring and thoughtful nature and generous heart. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly and the many lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry James and her parents Frank and Myra Zoccola. She is survived by her children Darren James (Rebecca), Tara Bingley (Chris), and grandchildren Colby, Owen, Maia and Hanna, and her brother Dana.
