Debra 'Debbie' Louise Antony, (Nee: Brown)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Debbie at the age of 66, of Vernon, BC, on May 28th, 2023.

Debbie is survived by her husband John, Her children Jammie (Tod) Day, Sheila (Jason) Byers, Kaylea (Sean) Antony, and Shawn Winder. Grandchildren Colton, Jacob, and Sydney Day, Cadence and Ashlyn Byers. Siblings Valerie (Ray) Ling, Judy (Ben) McKinnon and Jeanie (Peter) Walsh and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Rodney Brown.

She was born on March 11, 1957 to her parents Florence Ellen Carey and James Alexander Brown in Moose Jaw, Sask. Debbie attended and graduated from Vernon Secondary School high school in Vernon and married Brian Antony and had 3 children (Jammie, Sheila and Kaylea). Early in her marriage Debbie lived in the Yukon and Ontario and settling in Vernon BC. In 2008 Debbie married John Winder with his son Shawn.

Debbie was an active community member and spent many years volunteering with Funtastic and Vernon Winter Carnival. She enjoyed softball, bowling, gardening, reading and traveling to Maui for the winters. Debbie will be remembered for her smile, outgoing personality and her hugs. Mom loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren in her backyard and visiting with anyone who stopped by. Rest peacefully and know that we will always miss you dearly. You will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral service will be Wednesday June 7th, 2023 at 1:00pm at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Coldstream BC. with a small reception after the service at the church. Mom will be laid to rest at the cemetery in Lumby on Thursday June 8th
