A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was born on November 13, 1959 in Amityville NY. She was born to her loving parents, the late Donald Hunter & Mary Williams. She was known as Debbie or Aunt Debbie from her family whom she loved so much. Deborah was a loving sibling to Joyce Golson, Gary Hunter, Yvette Hunter, Duane Porter, Tara Hunter, and the late Kim Hunter. She had 3 beautiful children. She had one daughter; the late Kinte McNair and two sons: Michael Hunter & Phillip Hunter whom she cherished with all her heart from their father; the late Moses McNair.

Whether it was cooking, cleaning, traveling, watching tv or listening to music, she always kept a smile on her face and a loving spirit. Deborah had a fondness for seafood, pig feet, her famous tuna noodle salad (which she always made for every family function), fried chicken, potato salad, cabbage, and a handful of other traditional dishes she loved to cook. Her siblings, grandchildren, kids, husband and her daughter-in-law were the greatest joys in her life. Deborah’s favorite place in the world to visit was Brentwood, New York where her sister, niece and brother-in-law reside. She enjoyed herself by laughing, joking, and having a great time. It was a second place that she could call home. Her favorite saying whenever her son Phillip would kiss her on the cheek would be “stop it Phillip alright now that’s enough.” He would do that to distract her while she would besitting at the kitchen table playing games on her phone or would be blowing kisses to her two grandsons whom she adored so much Deborah worked as a professional smoke monitor for 10 years which she retired from in 2023. In October 2023 Deborah, Phillip and her husband decided to move from Long Island NY to Macon Ga where they had resided with her cousin-in-law (Juanita Jackson) for many years to be reunited with their family. Shortly after her husband and her son made their transition to Georgia, living there only a few months, she encountered a fatal illness. Unfortunately, this resulted in her passing on May 14, 2024. She had the opportunity to explore different places throughout her life including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Albany. She embraced each new experience with excitement and curiosity.
