Deb's obituary
Deb "Debbie" was born on January 18, 1964 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Burton "Sonny" Ludwig and Rebecca "Becki" Ripley.
Everyone who knew Debbie said they loved her to pieces. She had that effect on everyone she met. She was warm, funny, welcoming. She was brilliant and hardworking, and a bundle of laughs. Her love of color, fabrics, fashion, and flowers brought warmth and brightness to the world around her. Bright blooms and gowns that twirled when you spun--and she always knew the best fabric for the best, most glamorous twirl. A lover of sports, she was probably the biggest Red Sox fan you'd ever meet. She was like her dad in that way, and they shared a wonderful enthusiasm together. She worked hard to become her own person--a confident, empowered woman, who became a wonderful mother raising two beautiful twin daughters. She loved them more than anything. She was spunky, beautiful, and stylish, and to all who knew her, had the best "happy dance" moves you'd ever seen.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Grace Powell and Rachel Powell Bedell, and their father Phil Powell; mother Becki Ripley; step-mother Barbara Ludwig; sisters Melanie Ludwig, Dixie Wallace, Natalia Ludwig, Amanda Ludwig, and Sonya Browder, brothers Dale Ludwig and Burton Ludwig III; nieces and nephews.
