Debi's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Deborah "Debi" Ortiz, who gracefully embraced her eternal rest on June 5, 2024. Born on November 28, 1954, Deborah was a beacon of love, laughter, and faith to all who knew her. Known to many as Debi, she most enjoyed being called Deborah, a name she felt captured her essence.
Blessed with an infectious cheerfulness, Deborah never failed to light up the room with her vibrant personality. She was genuinely faithful, unfailingly honest, and always forgiving. Her loving nature was evident in her interactions with everyone she met. Her unique brand of humor brought smiles to many faces, creating memories that will live on in our hearts forever.
Her valuable life lessons, including advocating to be nice, kind, and loving towards each other, have deeply influenced those around her. One of her greatest joys was making a baby laugh and creating 'giggly' moments. She believed in cherishing the little things in life, always managing to find joy in the simplest everyday happenings.
One of her most enduring legacies is the kindness and gentleness she exhibited. From her interactions with friends and family to her approach to life in general, Deborah was a living testament to kindness. Her love for chocolate was well-known, and it often served as a symbol of her capacity to find happiness in life's simplest pleasures.
Deborah is survived by her devoted husband, Antonio Ortiz, and their loving daughter, Danielle Ortiz. They, along with all of those who had the privilege to know Deborah, will forever carry her in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Deborah will take place on June 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the Bay Hope Church-Lakeshore Campus. As we remember Deborah, we invite you to celebrate her life, her lessons, and her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
