Deborah Kelly “Debbie”, 63, of Apex, NC, passed away on June 28, 2020, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Debbie was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 6, 1957. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, PA. Debbie worked as a CNA for Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Washington Twp. NJ for 25+ years. Most recently, she moved to NC, where she was a CNA at WakeMed Hospital in Cary for a brief time before becoming ill. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, listening to music and loved her newly adopted cat, Luna. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Debbie is survived by her Children: Robert L. Vickers, Jennifer P. (Vickers) Deinarowicz (Edward P. Deinarowicz) and James P. Vickers, her grandchildren: Lauren A. Deinarowicz, Kierstyn B. Deinarowicz and Ava P. Deinarowicz, her sister: Theresa (Merkle) Gillotte (Louis Gillotte), her nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents: Vincent T. Merkle and Ann H. (Rosenberry) Merkle, her sister: Denise (Merkle) Nau and her Brother: David C. Merkle.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 3pm at 708 Near Post Dr. Fuquay Varina, NC 27526. Flowers and/or Cards may be sent to Jennifer Deinarowicz, 708 Near Post Dr. Fuquay Varina, NC 27526.
