Deborah Sue McDill Jacobs, affectionately known as Debi, passed away on May 14, 2024, in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 71. She was born on November 15, 1952, in Ohio. Debi was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and wife.

Debi was known for her feisty and funny personality, as well as her stubborn yet gracious demeanor.  Her spunk and smile always took up any room she entered.  She had a heart as big as Texas and loved to represent East Plano with pride.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her oldest daughter, Kate, and wife Kelsey Van Horn, her youngest daughter, Cali, and husband David Barhydt, as well as her grandchildren, AdiLynne Gillard, Jason and Devon Barhydt and her ex-husband Keith Jacobs. Debi is also survived by her brother, Jeff McDill, and her nieces and nephews, Candice, Christopher, Matthew, and Lindsey McDill. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rick McDill, and her parents, Marvin and Betsy McDill.

Debi attended Plano Senior High for her high school education, where she was a member of the first drill team Plano had, and furthered her studies at SMU. She was a member of First United Methodist of Plano.

A celebration of Debi's life will be held at the family's McKinney home on Saturday, July 13th from 11a-4p. Please feel free to come and go as you can.
