Deborah's obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Deborah Gillis on February 9, 2024. Born on October 11, 1955, Deborah was a cherished member of her family and her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Deborah was a woman of immense character, the pillar of her family and a beacon of love and kindness. She was someone who firmly believed in the importance of family and spent much of her time participating in her favorite recreational activities with her grandchildren and loved ones.

She is survived by her daughters, Shaneka Gillis and Marvette Gillis, and her sisters, Andrea Gillis, Jamie Kennard, and Tresha Gillis. Even as they grieve this tremendous loss, they remember Deborah as a guiding force in their lives whose memory will continue to bring them strength and comfort.

Deborah was a firm believer in the value of family and community. She dedicated her time and energy towards good causes. In recognition of her selfless spirit, a memorial fund titled "Debra Gillis Homegoing" has been set up. Those wishing to contribute can do so at the following web address: 'https://everloved.com/life-of…'.

In lieu of flowers, your contributions to this fund would be appreciated. These funds will be used to honor Deborah's life.

Deborah's passing leaves a void in our lives, but her spirit will forever resonate in our hearts. We honor her today and always for the love, care, and joy she brought to us.
