Deborah's obituary

Deborah J Carter

March 18, 1965 – October 27-2019

Deborah j Carter, was born on March 18, 1965, in Fairborn, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2019. She was the cherished daughter of Virginia “Ginny” Cecil and Thomas Cecil.

Deborah was more than a mother, daughter, sister, or friend—she was a pillar of strength, loyalty, and unconditional love. To many, she was a mother figure and mentor, offering wisdom, comfort, and support when it was needed most. Her resilience was evident in every chapter of her life as she faced challenges with grit, grace and determination. Deborah’s brilliant storytelling, warm spirit, and ability to uplift others left a profound impact on all who knew her.

Family, duty, and integrity were the cornerstones of Deborah’s life. Her unwavering commitment to these values shaped her relationships and her work. For over 20 years, Deborah was the heart and soul of her family’s cabinet business, Custom Designs. With her “take the bull by the horns” approach, she guided the business to success, treating every customer and colleague like a lifelong friend.

In her later years, Deborah discovered the serenity of hiking and the joy of solitude in the Smoky Mountains, as well as the happiness she found through dancing.

Deborah was remarkable in every sense. She was a light in the lives of many—generous, warm, and steadfast in her devotion those she loved. Her legacy is one of strength, kindness, and an unmatched ability to inspire others.

Deborah is survived by her loving children, Caren and Von Harrison, Rebecca Taylor, and Anthony and Yohko Taylor. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Brooke Quintana, Hina Taylor, and Lena Taylor, whose laughter and love brought her immense joy. Deborah also leaves behind her former spouse, Stephen Taylor, with whom she shared many treasured years of family life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia “Ginny” Cecil and Thomas Cecil, and her siblings, Bruce Cecil, Diane Kaus, and Theresa Cecil, whose memories she carried close to her heart.

Deborah will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a bright light in this world and a woman who will hold a special place in our hearts forever
