Debby's obituary

A woman of faith, music, and boundless joy, Deborah “Debby” Jane Andersen, age 71, passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer on December 11, 2025.

Debby was a blessing to all who knew her, with a wonderful smile, a fun-loving spirit, and an always-upbeat attitude. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Debby loved the Lord and shared her faith generously with family and friends. She attended Colby Junior College (now Colby-Sawyer College), where she earned an associate degree. Over her lifetime, she worked in several roles, including homemaker, and concluded her career at Synthes USA in West Chester, Pennsylvania as an IT Generalist.

Debby was married to and is survived by her husband, Joe Andersen, whom she married in 2012, following the loss of her previous husband, Arthur Ellisen, who passed away in 2010. She was deeply loved by both, and she loved them dearly in return.

Debby was born in Japan while her parents, Harry Easton and Jane Beggs Easton, were stationed there with the U.S. Army Airborne. Throughout her life, she lived in several places, including California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, before retiring with Joe to New Hampshire on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Debby had a deep love for music and art. She shared her musical talents with youth groups, performed at local restaurants in her twenties and sold many of her watercolor paintings. She also loved boating, playing pool, and running, completing many 5Ks and half marathons. In retirement, Debby and Joe spent the last ten years traveling across the world, skiing, and visiting friends and family.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her family, but we take comfort in knowing she will always be with us.

Debby is survived by her children: Chandler Ellisen and his wife, Dana, and their daughter, Olive; and Emily Dentler and her husband, Andrew, and their children, Abigail and Bryson. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Brian Andersen and his wife, Amanda, and their children, Emma and Ethan; and Eric Andersen and Charlotte Blakesley. She is further survived by her two younger sisters: Elizabeth Lourghan and her husband, Robert, and their children, Margaret and Natalie; and Anne Bailey and her husband, David, and their children, Andrew, Lauren, and Kate, and their families.
