Debora's obituary

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Debora Leis-Loustau, cherished mother, wife, daughter, and sister. Born on December 27, 1959, Debora filled her 63 years of life with love, joy, and incredible strength. Her journey in this world concluded on November 2, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and bringing magic and good times.

Debora is survived by her daughters, Dani Novazki and Brooke Nowacki, her husband Paul Loustau, her mother Sally Leis, her sister Donna Leis, her two nieces Laura and Sara and her puppy Tatanka.

She joins in Heaven her first husband Micheal Nowacki, her confidante Bean, her grandmother Hazel, her sweet Doja girl and her nephew Joe.

In 1996, Debora relocated to Calabasas, California where she loved living day-to-day, savoring the simple pleasures of the West Coast. Her love for food was evident by her delight in lasagna, pasta, steak, and lava cakes. She had an affinity for wine and dark beer, lending her gatherings a warm and comforting presence.

Debora had an exquisite taste in movies, music, and pastimes. The Godfather was one of her favorite movies, and her music playlist included the solid tunes of Moody Blues, The Beatles, Third Eye Blind, and Frank Zappa. However, her pastimes did not include watching sports as she found greater joy in karaoke, sitting by the fire, hiking, and a good session of yoga.

Having a heart full of kindness, Debora was a strong advocate for animals, resonating with her love for dogs, specifically chihuahuas. Her jovial disposition was most enjoyed when she played Cards Against Humanity, exhibiting her hilarious sense of humor. She would almost always win.

Debora was a beacon of love, strength, humor, kindness, care, support, hard work, and creativity. Her charisma and abundant love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the "American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)" - a cause that was close to Debora's heart. Funds can be raised via this link: https://everloved.com/life-of….

Debora Leis-Loustau will always be remembered for her bright spirit, infectious laughter and her unending love. Let us honor her memory by living our lives with equal vibrance  and passion, just the way she lived hers. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy continues to live on in the hearts and minds of those she loved and cared for.

“Peace, Love, and Rock and Roll”.
