I think of Debbie as I look around my Naples, Florida home.  She helped me choose furniture, colors, design in most of the rooms of this house.  She even surprised me with towels and a framed print in the bath that were perfect.  I love all of her choices and  decorator taste.  And, besides being my decorator, she became a friend.  We had plans for more decorating that will not happen.  I miss her very much.

Debbie was our upstairs neighbor. On Thursday April 28th, having sold our condo, we were packing our car with final items. Debbie stopped to talk with us. She was on her way to the chiropractor. She asked us not to leave without letting her give us a final goodbye.  Her last words as she got in her car, “I’ll probably cry!” We didn’t get the chance for that one more goodbye. She was her usual cheerful, vibrant self despite having only minutes left. Debbie was a wonderful neighbor, a lovely person. Our condolences to all who loved her.

There's no sorry in Pickleball! — with Debbie Keller

Dear Kristen and Branden,  Debbie and I worked closely together the last two years as she completely remodeled my home interior.  We were currently working on a window project that is in progress and then in 2023 she was going to remodel our entire pool/lanai area.  Her contractor Erald Goga and I were disturbed that we had not heard from her the past week.  She had a meeting scheduled last Friday that she missed.  We were about to call the Naples Sheriff when Erald, through a google search, found this website.  We are devastated as we loved Debbie and working with her.  She and I had many lovely conversations and glasses of wine together.  I began as her client and we became friends.  She spoke lovingly of both of you.  I loved her decorator taste.  I am so sad and cannot imagine what her loss is to both of you.  If there will be any type of service or memorial I would like to know.  My heartfelt condolences to you.

Jane Ewy

You and your family are in my heart and mind. It's terrible to hear about your loss, my deepest sympathies. Love Deborah York

  • When I first met Debbie, at a Hobie Cat race in Mission Bay, in San Diego, it was back in the 70's.  She was a nice young lady, going to San Diego State, and just a sweet thing...  She was so cute in her one piece swimsuit, with the biggest afro frizzy hair that would others jealous!  She and Bruce, being Hobie Catters, well we all  became good friends.  My wife Janie and Debbie took to one another immediately, and they became great friends forever after.  In 2014 when my wife was passing away after a bout with cancer, Debbie made it over to our house to be with her.  Debbie, as others have noted, was a very caring and wonderful person.   I feel so privileged to be a part of her life.   RIP you wonderful lady, and God bless you.  My condolances to Kristen and Branden.  Love and hugs.

To Kristen and Branden,

I can’t begin to tell you just how very sorry I am about the sudden loss of your mom.  I hope it gives you some comfort knowing how much your mother meant to so many people.  It is wonderful that your mom has continued  to show her kindness through her organ donations to  five people, giving them each a chance to live.  She is truly an inspiration.

I’ve known Debbie since she decided to make Bellerive her home.  She was the most positive, upbeat and friendly person I have ever met.  I frequently would have chats with Debbie while she was coming or going.  She was a real doer and loved to go places and see new and different things.

I would look forward to her frequent FB posts.  They were always so uplifting and I especially enjoyed the posts that included photographs.  Debbie had a real talent for photography as well as interior design.

Debbie  would often say how she loved her life, her friends and her family; in particular, Kristen and Branden.  While her life was cut far too short, it was a life well-lived.

She touched the hearts of so many and will be sorely missed, but forever remembered as a very special person with a big smile and an even bigger heart.
