I'm heartbroken to state that our beloved friend, Deanna Lawrence, known as Lady Brilliana in the SCA, and Dee Dee to her friends, age 58, of Shawano, WI passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022 at the Thedacare Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin.  She fell asleep shortly after being visited by her beloved friend, Bridget, and quietly slipped away in her sleep.Deanna was a kind, and remarkable woman.  She survived losing most of her family to a horrific fire when she was young, she survived years of spousal abuse, and even losing one of her beloved friends, Christopher Wallace, whom she took care of when he became ill,  and yet, remained gentle and warm-hearted to everyone around her.  She loved to sing, often participating in bardic circles at SCA events, enjoyed spending time with friends, and just enjoyed life.  She did calligraphy, heraldry, and, in her later years, helped run a merchant booth called the Puppy Pavilion she and Bridget shared.  She loved to spend time with her pups, Jenna and Parker, or just lounging around with her two cats, Ty and Star.  She is survived by dozens of friends who viewed her as family, and will be sorely missed by all.   All of the SCA has lost a truly warm, and soothing light, and it is our hope the bards of the past take her into their patronage, so that she may sing sweet melodies among them.We love you, Deanna.   You will be missed.
