I have known you ALL of my sobriety! You are that guy who showed me how to handle things in a time and space where people who looked like us were very small in number. You are that gentleman who showed respect to me when I thought so less of myself. You are that guy who walked in the trenches of AA and shared your heart ❤️. You are that guy that I called on and you answered with love and honesty. You are that guy that would go and get that fried chicken at the Alcathon when we ran out!😂. And you are that guy that had many “no matter what’s” but you stayed here and showed others how it gets done. You are that guy I will always cherish in my heart. I miss you like crazy!!

My friendship with DeAndre has been 31+ years. Filled with laughter, Unconditional love, Intimacy, transparency, honesty, and fried chicken!  He made the best fried chicken! What a gift. I cannot comprehend that he is no longer on this plane of existence, and yet I know that I must move forward, putting 1 foot in front of the other, trusting God, cleaning house, and working with others. Thank you all for loving my friend too. Your friendship meant the world to him. I find comfort in knowing that he is hanging out in the big meeting in the sky with Dennis, Wanda, Travis, Doug & Nancy.
