De’Andre Jahzari Merchant (age 11), was born on February 04, 2008, to Bernard Burney and De’Recka Merchant in Dayton, Ohio. He went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2019. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Dereck Deron Merchant, his paternal grandparents Thurman and Diane Burney, and uncles Clifford and Allan Burney. He is survived by parents and his siblings Brielle Burney, Dayon Gray, and Dayona Gray. His life was truly impacted by the love of his special parental caregivers Cyra Allen (auntie) and Daina Gray (stepdad). He leaves a loving family to cherish his memory including his grandmother Cyrese Webster, aunts Aneisha Jewett, Wilicia Jewett, uncles Willard Jewett, Antwon Jewett, Aireon Jewett and host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2019, at The Church of God of Prophesy, 24 Glenwood Avenue, Dayton, OH 45405. The family will receive visitors starting at 10 am and services will begin at 11 am. The family will host a dinner following the services at the American Legion Post 613, at 27 Meadow Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45416.
