The generosity and love Dean showed for his fellow human beings was amazing.
Mark and I first met Greg through our son Eric when they started college. We were introduced to Dean and Arlene at a CSU football tailgate party. From that moment one could only love those two people. We had so much fun every time we met for the games after that. After meeting for the first time Mark and I were invited up to the “cabin”, told all we needed to bring were a dozen eggs. We were treated to a Grand Lake weekend as tho we had known the Zick’s for years.
Dean’s main concern was for all to have a wonderful time wherever and whenever he was around. Such a kind and loving heart.
We will miss his generosity, his kindness, his wisdom, and honesty, but most of all his attitude of always paying it forward wherever he went.
Thanks for the wonderful memories Dean. We love you and promise to try to pass your kindness onto other

A ton of memories, but I thought I would share a couple that stand out to me. Giving - Always an open door with Dean and the Zick's. Their home, their home away from home.....you always felt welcome. Dean loved his spots in Grand Lake and worked his butt off on them and are some great memories for me. Not only visits to houses, but I was invited to bronco games to sit in some pretty awesome seats. Although we really didn't visit with him, he was in his own world, headset on listening to the radio and yelling at the refs. Speaking of yelling at the refs...Dean was a pretty passionate person. Is that a nice way of saying short tempered ;)? Man, he could get worked up in a hurry and he wasn't afraid to show it. You would think he had an extra 50lbs on him. If you have ever rode in a car with him or saw someone stand in front of him at a bronco game, you know what I mean.

Dean was funny and kind and could be in the same instance. I didn't get to see Dean a lot, but when we were together, I talked with him a lot. Once several years ago we were having a conversation and he said "Man, I was worried about you after meeting you in college. I didn't think you would make it (as he laughs)." Then he said, "You surprised me, you have had a lot of success are a great dad and have the best wife you could ask for. " Followed up with, " I guess you are really lucky. " and laugh again...I will miss you.

To the entire Zick family, I am very sorry for your loss. To Greg, love you man and let me know how we can help. BTW, there is a lot of your dad in you.
Condolences to the entire Zick family. Dean's warmth, kindness, and wisdom will be missed. A great representative of "The Greatest Generation".
Dean was a wonderful, sweet man. He will be missed. Sending lots of love to the Zick family.

At home in Denver for no reason I felt very ill one day. Later Dean told us about an accident while training in Chicago on that same day.
What to say... I loved Dean, as I do the whole Zick family. Arlene, you know we love you. To Karen, Greger and Shelley (my sisters and brother), my heart is broke. Good memories, good times for nearly 40 years, my gosh, how the time flies. Tinnes/Zick= FOREVER KIN. Rob and Connie
We will deeply miss Dean. Our relationship has spanned a lifetime and three generations--my father before me and our son who follows! Dean was honest and professional. You could always trust Dean and count on his wisdom. I always knew I could pick up the phone to seek his advice and he would be there-----and at the end of the conversation he would say, "You be good now"!

Dean and I worked together from the first day he started his practice until I retired in 2003. He was a very special boss and friend. Our families enjoyed the good times and shared the bad. When I turned to him for help and advice, he was always there. The journey was fun. Prayers for Arlene and family. .
Terry and I are so saddened to hear about Dean’s passing. Our Deepest sympathy goes out to Dean’s family. Over 42 years of friendship and a solid trusted business relationship was shared with Dean. Dean will be greatly missed from our lives.
