Dean's obituary
Dean Henry Rasmussen was born in Hampton, Virginia in 1966, and moved around with his Airforce family until settling in Chesapeake, Virginia where he graduated from Oscar Smith High School in 1984. He went to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and received a Bachelors in Political Science with a minor in Painting and Printmaking. Dean stayed in Richmond after college and raised a family with his wife, Angie. They had four wonderful children, Haley, Annabelle, Rodney, and Eric. Dean’s children were the center of his world. He was a patient, funny, loving, and chill father; the very best.
Dean is survived by his wife Angie, his four children and two children-in-law Ethan and Harrison, his brother Randy, his sister Robin (Mandel), his nieces Bailee (Julia), Elizabeth, and Aubrey, his nephew Bryan Belangia (Sandy), and numerous friends both locally and around the world.
Dean had a passion for professional wrestling that was unrivaled, and he shared this passion with thousands around the world through his website DeathValleyDriver.com. He also loved football, in particular the Dallas Cowboys, whom he loved so dearly he named his dog and oldest daughter after players. Dean was active in the Richmond music scene, being in many bands throughout his life including Flannel, Ultra Cindy, Secretariat, and British Sterling.
He is deeply loved and will be missed.
The family wants to express how much they appreciate the outpouring of love and support in the recent months.
