My dad lived in Ventura for decades. You might have seen him working at the Inn On The Beach at the end of Seaward Ave. My dad had a cannon he would light every 4th of July by the hotel. He was a single father, full of stories, was a great cook and loved watching me play softball and grow up. When he retired, he bought an RV and moved to AZ for a cheaper lifestyle on the CO river.
