Dean's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Dean Loppnow. Born on the 3rd of February, 1943, Dean left us on the 5th of May, 2025. His bright spirit and loving nature will be profoundly missed by many.
Dean was a joy to be around, known for his wit, directness, and work ethic. He was always willing to share a laugh, but also never shy of speaking his thoughts directly, something everyone admired about him. His hardworking character was evident in everything he did, and his desire to Walk With The King was evident through his life.
In life, Dean was known for his wisdom. "Question everything with gentleness," he'd often say. This saying did not merely reflect his passion for inquiry, but a deeper philosophy that he carried in his interactions with others.
His legacy, he often stated, was to "Ask good questions, serve others, and believe in people." To those who knew him, it was clear that he lived this legacy daily. His questions served as a tool for introspection and growth, both for himself and for those he interacted with. His dedication to service was unwavering, and his belief in the potential of others was a beacon of hope to many.
We invite friends, family, and all who knew Dean to join us in celebrating his remarkable life at a memorial service on the 25th of July, 2025. The service will commence at 11:40 AM at Fort Sheridan. Let us remember Dean as he was: a beacon of joy, wisdom, and hope.
May his soul rest in peace, and his legacy continue to inspire us.
