Dean's obituary

Dean Daniel Danos (Age 61) passed away from terminal lung cancer at 5:24 am on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Medilodge Nursing Care of Portage.

Dean was born Monday, February 11, 1957 at West Jefferson Medical Center near New Orleans, LA. Dean graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1975. He later met his wife Kelley and was married August 22, 1981. They went on to have two beautiful daughters; Marci and Mallory. In 1988, Dean and his family moved to Michigan.

Dean enjoyed cooking, fishing and tending to his garden. He had a very free spirit and always knew how to make you laugh or put a smile on your face.

Sadly on January 11, 2013, Dean suffered from a stroke that left him paralyzed on the right side of his body and unable to speak. Dean's residence then became Medilodge Nursing Care of Portage. Even there Dean made many friends with the residents and staff. Medilodge became a second home for Dean and his family. On December 10, 2018, Dean was then diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer. He spent his last few weeks surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Dean was Preceded in Death by his Father Harry N. Danos Sr. (1/8/10) and Mother Claris L. Danos (4/10/18). Dean is survived by his wife of 37 years Kelley A. Danos; Daughters Marci Danos and Mallory Rohall (husband Benjamin Rohall); Grandchildren Trenton Danos, Lelu Loenichen, Marcus Rohall and Charlie Rohall; Siblings Harry N. Danos Jr. (wife Dolores Danos), Susan Hymel-Danos and Patty Kattan-Danos.

A celebration of life ceremony will take place in the spring to honor Dean.
