Dean's obituary

There is a party going on in heaven today! My Uncle Dean went to join his son Dewayne and many other family members this morning. More importantly I know he ran into Jesus arms. He loved Jesus so much and his faith was so strong. I loved hearing him pray... there was a such a special connection for him. He was a special man... loved his wife deeply and was such a romantic! He loved to make cakes... so I made one tonight. Food was his love language and he was a good cook. He enjoyed love stories and Shirley Temple and old movies. He could spend hours watching the birds and squirrels from his window, was thrilled by their antics and knew how many were out there. He could spend hours reminiscing of days gone by and there was no derailing the story... he'd pick right up where he left off until he was done! "Well, anyway..." many minutes and interruptions later he'd finish up. 🙂 He had an ornery streak and strong opinions but a kind and gentle heart. And I like to believe I was his favorite niece... 🙂 I spent many a Christmas in their basement when I was far away from home; they even let me bring other missionary kids to spend our holidays in their home. I lived with them for a few weeks in 2015 and he would have coffee ready for me every morning before work and wanted to hear about my day every evening. I honestly believe that there isn't anything he wouldn't have done for me if I'd just asked. And his wife, my Aunt Joyce is the most precious lady you'll ever meet! Please keep her in your prayers as she figures out life without her sweet heart of so many years.
