Dawaun Micheal Tabor went home to Jesus on February 17, 2026, at the age of 39.

Dawaun was born to Mark and Stacy Tabor on December 22, 1986, in St. Louis, Missouri. As a child, Dawaun showed great talent in sports and was very successful in athletics, becoming a two-time state champion and also winning a state championship in basketball.

In 2006, Dawaun met the love of his life, Mary, at their workplace. The two were married in 2014 and went on to build a loving family together. They were blessed with three children—James, Rebecca, and Daijja—as well as Moran, whom they lovingly raised as their own.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Dawaun had a passion for sports and enjoyed visiting the casino for fun. Many who knew him would say he had incredible luck and seemed to win big often. He could spend hours talking about sports and gambling and sharing laughter and memorable moments with family and friends.

Outside of his work life, Dawaun truly cherished spending time with his family and being outdoors. Throughout his life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those around him.

He is survived by his four loving children and many family members and friends who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, who passed away the year before him.

Dawaun will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.

A private family remembrance will be held.
