Background
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Companions in Courage Foundation, a cause that was dear to Dave for nearly 20 years. He dedicated countless hours, financial support, and his love of Ironman races to raising awareness and funds for this organization, which provides courage, friendship, and support to children and families facing life-threatening illnesses. Through his commitment, he built lasting relationships with many within the foundation, some of whom became lifelong friends. Dave believed in the power of compassion and community, and he found great joy in helping children and families who needed it most.
Anyone has the ability to make a difference and change lives, whether it's for sick children or any other cause. I've been truly humbled by the kindness and generosity of my friends, family, and even strangers who have donated. It’s a daily reminder of how fortunate we are, and how important it is to stay humble and give back. - Dave
