It's been hard without Dad this year. I love him and wish I could call him and tell him about so many things. I wish I could visit one last time. I miss the times he talked to me when I was worried about something or our talks on politics. I love you and miss you Dad.

Love,

Holly

It was such an honor to be apart of David’s life. It was a very gentle man. His smile that lit up the room when we talked about his children or dogs. He requested ranch dressing and my oh my did he enjoy that sooo much.

Even in the weakest of his health I forever cherish him reaching out grabbing my hand and telling  me “ thank you”.

Holly, Miranda, Beth, Jon thanks for allowing me to be apart of your family. It was an honor to care for your dad.

From Amber:

When your dad got shadow she came from a home where she was super neglected. She literally ate your dad's couch within a few days and your dad just said oh well I'll get another couch when she grows out of this chewing stage. He didn't care that she ate the couch he just wanted her to feel loved after being neglected. He was an amazing man, and I won't ever forget him

David had a beautiful heart—a truly genuine soul with a heart of gold. His love for his dogs was boundless, and they brought him so much joy. He will be deeply missed

I remember multiple visit to Stow Cone with him, Miranda, and Oliver. Man did Mr. Weick spoil that pup. Oliver was definitely his soul dog and they are now together again. 🩵
One time waiting in line at Stow Cone, a guy in line behind us told two girls in front of us that they shouldn’t be holding hands in front of all the kids. My dad stood up for them and even paid for their ice cream.

Mr. Weick was such a good guy. I remember debating with him whether vampires, werewolves, and Zombies would need insulin if diabetic. Also every time I saw him it was

“Hey Mr. Weick”

“Call me David”

“Okay Mr. Weick”

I’m so sorry to hear of his loss. My heart goes out to his family.

Dad took me on my first hiking trips. He one time accidentally dropped me off a cliff but my sister saved me. Thanks Holly! Dad was just a kid at heart. He taught me how to play video games and football. When there was a bad storm he’d stay up all night with me and watch cops until I fell asleep. Stow Cone was his favorite Icecream place. Every summer I could count on a phone call asking if I wanted to get Stow Cone together. He’d always get two cones. One for him, and one for his dog Oliver. Oliver would finish his ice cream before dad, and dad would end up giving the rest of his to Oliver. How that dog did not have diabetes is beyond me.
