I'm sad to hear this news. David was my roommate my freshman year at Baylor. He was a smart and goofy guy. He really could make friends quickly. He had an infectious smile. I remember he was a very good athlete. He played club lacrosse when they started up a team. He came back to the room one Saturday bragging about scoring his first goal. Unfortunately, it was as a defensive player trying to flick it back to his own goalie. I think he mentally changed majors about eight times our freshman year. He was a really nice guy. RIP, Dave.

My favorite time with David was when we were fishing in Loreto and caught our limit of Dorado

I was fortunate enough to meet David one day at Sardina's. My friend and I had brought in our tennis rackets and he noticed. He started chatting with us about our tennis playing and he so proudly told us about his son that was an amazing player and was ranked in San Diego. He invited my friend and I to play with him and his son at Tecolote Tennis Club. I was drawn into David's infectious smile and magnetic personality. After chatting for awhile, David decided to tell us a long joke called Timbuktu which he recited with ease by memory, once he reached the punchline I almost fell off of my stool laughing. I will miss David's energy, kindness and brilliance. We don't know why David left us so early, but I'm sure we would all agree that he left us way too soon. RIP my dear friend.

Dave. You are such a wonderful friend. So supportive and caring. I hope that I can live up the the standard you set.
I am so sorry you are gone.
I can't image the pain and suffering your family is feeling.
We had plans to take our kids to Colombia next year, so that they could appreciate the positive impact you are having in the world.
I wish I could have met your kids to tell them what a wonderful man you are.
I will do my best to be supportive for Meliza and your kids.
May you rest in God's mercy and peace.

No better person to dedicate this to- the true King - David Turner. David loves Elvis and was going to do this mural in his house.

My brother in arms, my friend, my mentor, my confidant and the man who brought two amazing sons into my life, Lucas and Jonathan, I love you. We are blessed to have known you and spent precious time with you while you were here. Your life was cut waaay too short to fathom with all of the work you had left in you. I know that your gifts for life, language, fun, love, adventure are all at our fingertips to bring forth into the world. I am forever grateful for our friendship and trust all these years. I wished we had served together as the trouble we gotten into would have been amplified greatly. "HOOYAH" David Turner.
