David's obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of David Higgins, a brilliant light and beloved soul in our lives. He was born on August 17, 1967, and walked into eternity on August 12, 2025. An exceptional man known for his kind heart and willingness to help a friend, David will be forever missed and remembered.
David leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Francheska Higgins, and his proud children, Travis, Tyler, Tanner, and Dalton Higgins. Also mourning his loss are his brothers, William Higgins, Kevin Higgins, and Greg Decker, and his father Jim Decker. David was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Emmerton-bell. His warmth will be remembered by his sister-in-law, Sandy Higgins, and many friends, relatives, and acquaintances whose lives he touched.
David had a rich life filled with many passions. A connoisseur of music, he held a particular love for metal bands and was a voracious concert attendee, with standout performances by Kiss amongst his favorites. An avid watcher of "Tales from the Crypt," his taste for the thrilling also extended to his choice of movies, which invariably were of the horror genre. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Buffalo Bills and enjoyed a good game of pool on occasion.
A man of action, David cherished his recreational time, often spending it fixing up his home, working on motorized bicycles, or simply relaxing with his beloved tunes. The color black was a particular favorite of his, reflecting his unique and vibrant personality.
A memorial service honoring David's life will be held on September 28, 2025, at 12 pm at Lawrenceville City Park. As we mourn his departure, let us remember his life, his laughter, and the precious moments he shared with us. David may have left our sight, but he will forever live on in our hearts.
