I am so very sorry to see that Dave has passed away! I knew him in Yokosuka, Japan when he came to train in the lab at the Yokohama dispensary. I was a civilian employee in the lab. Dave was full of joy and was a treasured friend!
I  am sorry for your loss, I just heard about it yesterday from Nick.  Loved him as a friend and mentor.
Dr. Waters was a very special part of our lives as his patients in our family, but we always also thought of him as our friend. He was always there to help us and to brighten our days! He helped us through some dark, scary times and the Lord used him to  return us to health! I look forward to seeing him again in the  future! I hope to be able to have adventures with him! What a joy he is! I am so sorry for his family and pray that the Lord send them extra blessings and peace that passes understanding! He very clearly love you all with all of his heart!

Dr Waters was kind, loving, generous, interesting, curious and genuine.  His integrity and Christ like style is not commonly found today. He was one of our our Doctors and our friend, we miss him.
I am very sad about the passing of David Waters, as I have known and loved him since he was about 3 or 4 years old.  My fondest memory of him, among many, was when he cracked up the entire audience of the Cisco King & Queen Coronation when he was in the first grade. My brother Dash was the "jester" for this occasion, and he did not realize that he should not be clowning during Nancy Cluck's lovely violin solo, but unfortunately he did, and little David started laughing loudly at Dash's antics, which brought down the house, but did not please poor Nancy and her family.  David grew up to be a smart, loving, caring and fun man ... I enjoyed later getting to be in an art class with him and his sister Diana.  Rest in Peace, dear David.

David and I were in Mrs. Clements’  First Grade class. One day on the way back from lunch there was a snake on the sidewalk. David just picked it up and, as I remember it, he just popped it like a whip  and it was taken card of! He was a hero to lots of  little First Grade Girls! He was such a fun classmate.

So many memories from mummifying a horned toad with Worchester sauce, to him literally bringing me a can on a string that went from his window to mine when we both had the measles, because our mothers said we couldn’t talk on the phone anymore, to in later years talking on the phone for hours about faith. He was my “brother”, my friend, and my journeyer. I miss him, but I have no doubt he is sitting with Jesus discussing his kale and spinach smoothie ♥️ May our joy of being his friend never fade!
David was such a loving, available man.  He was generous and always willing to help.  I loved his adventurous nature.  I know our loving God will be leading him into his next adventure.
